Its about People
Inspired by the African philosophy of ‘ubuntu’ (derived from isiZulu/isiXhosa in South Africa), and the isiZulu proverb ‘Umuntu Ngumuntu Ngabantu’ (meaning: ‘A person is a person through other persons’), Africa Marketing is essentially about people.
Understanding people. Listening to people. Promoting people. Creating a consciousness of the people around us, the people who make up our world. Not only is it about promoting people, but also their beliefs, businesses, and the issues and causes that they so passionately pursue.
Having an African base, Africa Marketing aims to work with, and learn about people not only on the continent, but also beyond, wherever they may be.
"A person with Ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, based from a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed." - Desmond Tutu, 1999
